Qâneh Bosm in the Holy Bible

Qâneh Bosm in the Holy Bible is the PROVIDED BY GOD segment of CANNABIS: PROVIDED BY GOD, PROHIBITED BY MAN

Be forewarned; this revelation is controversial. Denial of it does not make it any less factual or any less evident in its' meaning; make no mistake...

It is abundantly clear in its' implication.

this compilation would not be possible without the extensive energies expended by the dedication of a great number of people; remember, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

Rev. Bro. Wayne P. Phillips, MISSIONARY MEMBER; NORTH POINT MISSIONS OF GOD THE ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF THE UNIVERSE

Introduction

As far as cultural forces go, Christianity has, for 2000 years, had a significant impact in worldly affairs. Most would attribute this to the core ideals (of Christianity) being rooted in Christ as the Early Church in Jerusalem evolved first under Roman occupation, influence and expansion and then in conjunction with it. The Church then split into east/west factions with each factions further dividing into what is represented today.

In 2008, thanks to arts & sciences, technology and Church records, we know that it was during its' earliest period that Early Christian fathers established the foundations of an institution quite distinct from the original teachings of its' Jewish namesake, Jesus. This indicates that the Early Roman Church sought to distance itself from its actual Jewish practices which would come to be considered heresy. Although this, for the most part was realized in Pauline theology, the New Testament alludes to the intrinsic mysteries that were gradually rationalized into a wasteland of ambiguity for the sake of promulgating the advantage of faith. That changed in 1947 and the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

As B. Wilson,PH.D.1 points out in Chapter 2 of How Jesus Became Christian, “Jesus was thoroughly Jewish.” Jesus, as betokened by the prophet Zechariah in Zechariah 9:9, was claiming the throne of David as the Anointed One [Hebrew: Messiah]. As Messiah, Jesus and his followers constituted a significant challenge that served to potentially undo the status quo in the eyes of both the Jewish religious leaders and the occupying Romans. That made Jesus and His Disciples a threat to both the Jews and Romans for altogether different reasons. Although dismissed as another unrequited/false prophet (and worse) by temple factions amid the Jews, Jesus posed a significant threat to their authority (being from the line of David, fulfilling prophesy, etc.) and temple enterprise. For the Romans, Jesus would have been just another Jewish holy man the temple priests couldn't control; another potential troublemaker in a land only fit for the likes of such. Wilson tells us it would be some five or six centuries before the followers of this “Jesus Movement2” would disappear and nearly two millennia would pass before the world would again be made aware of an archaeological find of "monumental importance" concerning the early Church of Jesus & His Disciples.

Found!!! Holy Anointing Oil Container of James the Just and the Apostles

On July 6, 1999 the Evangelical Press News Service featured an article entitled Found!!! Holy Anointing Oil Container of James the Just and the Apostles1 about how in the 1960s, Tech Otecus, an elderly monk who lived as a hermit in the Old City of Jerusalem, excavated artifacts bearing the Messianic Seal from an ancient grotto located in the immediate vicinity of the Upper Room on Mount Zion. One of the artifacts found was a brick-sized block of well-worn local marble. This piece bears an etched version of the Messianic Seal with a Taw (the last letter in the ancient Hebrew alphabet that looks exactly like a sign of the cross) in the eye of the fish symbol, as well as the ancient Aramaic lettering proclaiming the use of this artifact as a stand to hold a vial of anointing oil. The ancient Aramaic is transliterated as, "La Shemen Ruehon" (For the Oil of the Spirit). Another of the eight artifacts is a small, almost intact, vial which could well have sat on top of the marble stand.

There are two schools of thought on how this symbol should be interpreted. One prevailing school states that it consists of three separate but integrated symbols: a menorah at the top, a star of David in the middle, and a fish at the bottom. The other states the star (of David) is created by the interlacing of the stand of the menorah with the tail of the fish and represents two separate though integrated symbols. Considering the Star of David is a modern construct this seems most logical.

Another significant factor which was of "monumental importance" was an announcement in 1980 by the Hebrew University confirming Sara Benetowa's (Sula Benet2) etymology of qâneh bos'm as cannabis EARLY DIFFUSION AND FOLK USES OF HEMP (1936). The word cannabis was generally thought to be of Scythian origin, but Benet showed that it has a much earlier origin in Semitic languages like Hebrew, and that it appears several times throughout the Old Testament. Benet explained that "in the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament there are references to hemp, both as incense, which was an integral part of religious celebration, and as an intoxicant 3."

Benet demonstrated that the word for cannabis is kaneh-bosm, also rendered in traditional Hebrew as kaneh or kannabus. The root kan in this construction means "reed" or "hemp", while bosm means "aromatic". This word appears five times in the Old Testament; in the books of Exodus, the Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. The word kaneh-bosm has been mistranslated as calamus, a common marsh plant with little monetary value that does not have the qualities or value ascribed to kaneh-bosm. The error occurred in the oldest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, the Septuagint in the third century BC, and was repeated in the many translations that followed4.

Through comparative etymological study, C. Bennet5 documented that in the OT and its Aramaic translation, the Targum Onculos, hemp is referred to as kaneh bosm, which is also rendered in traditional Hebrew as kannabos or kannabus. The root “kan” in this construction means “reed” or “hemp”, while “bosm” means “aromatic”...”6 The British journal New Scientist ran an article that referred to the Hebrew OT referenced in 1980 featuring this announcement while the respected anthropologist Weston La Barre (1980) referred to biblical referenced in an essay on cannabis7.

It would be remiss not to include that which at the time of discovery sent shock waves felt around the world; the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Found between 1947 and 1956 in caves 20 miles east of Jerusalem what was of equal interest was picked up on by the distinguished American literary and cultural critic, Edmund Wilson8 who noted as early as 1955, “a desire on the part of the 'experts' to distance the Qumran scrolls from both Judaism and Christianity. The 'experts', it seemed to him, were protesting rather too vehemently, and this aroused his suspicions. Wilson stressed how much the scrolls had in common with both rabbinical Judaism, as it was emerging during the 1st century AD and with the earliest forms of Christianity; he noted a marked 'inhibition' on the part of both to make the obvious connections.

There has also been a marked 'inhibition' on the part of both to make the obvious connections to the qâneh bosm = cannabis revelation; while portions of this material has been available (though not always accessible) for quite some time now, it is only with the advent of 21st century advancements in science, technology and communications that this information is now being brought together from a cross-section of sources. Considering the ramifications of cannabis prohibition, to expect otherwise would indeed be a most curious phenomenon, however, now that the cannabis plant has been demonstrated to be irrefutably linked to creation and the human species in accordance to the Will of G-d as proclaimed in the Holy Bible [Genesis 1:29-3, etc.] this treatise should be a matter of no wee consequence.

Based upon a variety of edifying documentation rigorously compiled, this compendium includes archaeological finds, etymological revelations, scientific evidence, the writings of the early Church Fathers which will show how the Holy Anointing Oil Container, according to scripture, connects James the Just (hence Jesus) and the Apostles to the anointing practices familiar to the line of David. That is not to say the conclusions arrived at will be unanimously agreed with (at the end of the day) or, for that matter, the conclusions will even be taken serious; that would be truly be wishful thinking of the highest order. The treatise presented does, however, demonstrate that G-d's intent was that the journey from herb bearing seed to the Tree of Life be set down after a fashion and made so. The idea here is to do that within a compelling framework of references according to Scripture.

Not only are these findings truly revelatory, they are revolutionary! Yet when considered on the merits of the data it becomes that much less of a stretch for some and a sound premise for others! While it is true that this revelation does hold the potential to open what some would see as a virtual Pandora's box for secular society and the ecclesiastic alike, it must be remembered that we are no longer bound by the technological limitations previous generations faced and Christianity must be allowed to go where the evidence regarding Its' Namesake points. Perhaps this is why those in the esteemed positions within Church and State have virtually ignored evidence and information which has surfaced over the last 150 years. As society begins its' jaunt into the 21st century we have the opportunity, the knowledge and the skills to determine a holistic perspective never quite appreciated before. Unfortunately to date this opportunity has not prevented Church or State from speaking vehemently about the so-called “evils” of cannabis, while turning a blind eye to the harm prohibition perpetuates and, more importantly, who is benefiting from it.

The presentation of moral platitudes to mask selective socio-economic favouritism doesn't explain how enriching the coffers of organized crime (who, inturn, bankroll the illicit marketplace in drugs) could ever hope to accomplish in the 21st century what it could not do in the 20th - that is, eliminate cannabis (and, in the larger equation, drugs in general) and combat organized crime! This is especially significant since every indication clearly demonstrates that escalating trend of crime and violence offset any effort the State mounts (toward enforcement) and in spite of routine arrests. All at a cost which, after nearly a century, tallies up to an such a staggeringly astronomical bottom line that every poliltician walking should be embarassed!

Be that as it may, this exegesis is not about politics, or (cannabis) legalization, or the politics of (cannabis) legalization per se, but when indications from the Christian mainstream suggest that because the issue is so politically entwined a major reluctance to accepting the legitimacy of such a revelation would naturally arise, it behooves clarity to go to the heart of the matter . . .Scripture.

Celebrating the Morning Star

dedicated to Rev. Bro.'s Walter Tucker & Michael Baldarsaro

As we embrace the dawn of the 21st century where the realities of acculturation amid a brave new world of diversity are juxtaposed in the here and now advancements in science & technology provide a more concise understanding of ancient peoples languages, customs and sacred practices than ever before. This is a singularly important consideration when those advancements, and what they entail, provide the impetus to better understand ourselves, the roots of Judeo-Christian tradition and the most significant revelation of the new millennia.

References to “herb bearing seed” as cannabis goes to the heart of the matter and ultimately Christianity, itself. It will be demonstrated that this “herb bearing seed/cannabis”, which was part of a Divine Plan which was seen as “very good” in the eyes of G-d (Gen 1:31) is confirmed by modern science and the research of Dr. R. Melamede, a foremost researcher of the Endocannabinoid and Cannabinoid System. By Dr. Melamede's estimation the Cannabinoid System is over 600 millions years old!

III.

On The Third Day

GENESIS 1:11-13 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

GENESIS 1:26-31 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Matthew Henry (Concise) states, “The earth was emptiness ...by a word spoken ...it became full of G-d’s riches ... riches that are still G-d’s” ...and that, “The use of them is allowed to man, they are from G-d, and to his service and honour they must be used. The earth, at G-d’s command, brings forth grass, herbs, and fruits. G-d must have the glory of all the benefit we receive from the produce of the earth. If we have, through grace, an interest in G-d who is the Fountain, we may rejoice in G-d when the streams of temporal mercies are dried up.”

It is on the third day that Cannabis – along with other plants – is brought forth by G-d for all living creatures upon the earth to benefit from. On the fifth day G-d creates Man in his image of and gives Man dominion over every living thing that moved upon the earth. G-d then reiterates to Man the gift bestowed and sees that it is all very good.

But that was then and this is now and given its' prohibited status - the idea of cannabis having any relevance to Scripture is understandably met with skepticism or out right ridicule (the classic being well G-d put poison ivy on the planet, too, I don't see any smoking that” - as if such pseudo-reasoning were even in the realm of common sense or logic!).

It should be of some consolation to this lot that clearly the onus of providing the validity of such a claim should rightly fall squarely upon the claimant IN ORDER TO SAFEGUARD THE INTEGRITY OF THEREOF; and provided it will be. Acceptance (of that data) is another matter entirely.

Certainly a person of Dr. Robert J. Melamede's caliber certainly goes a long way toward explaining that end ...(o cannabinoid)!

Dr. Robert J. Melamede Ph.D.

Robert Melamede is an associate professor of biology at the University of Colorado, in one of the 11 states that allow the medicinal use of marijuana. Dr. Melamede is an expert on the biology of the cannabis plant, how it relates to the human endocannabinoid system, and why the cannabis plant has the potential to affect so many diseases and illnesses. Dr. Robert Melamede received his Ph.D. from the City University of New York. From there he became a Research Associate and Research Assistant Professor at New York Medical College. In 1989 he became a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont. In 2001 he moved to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as an Associate Professor, and became the Chairman of the Biology Department until he retired as Chairman in the Fall of 2005. Dr. Melamede's expertise has been the repair of DNA damages caused by free radicals, the production of monoclonal antibodies via phage display, far from equilibrium thermodynamics as applied to biological systems, and pulling these all together, the endocannabinoid system. Additional, Dr. Melamede is a founder of a small biotech company (Newellink) exploring novel cancer therapies.

Here are his comments: The Cannabinoid System has been around for over 600 million years. Before the Dinosaurs. The Cannabinoid System is continuously evolutioning and has been retained by all new species. Food and feeding is at the heart of the Cannabinoid System.

1. Cannabinoids are in every living animal on the planet above Hydra and Mollusks, with the exception of insects. Bodies are homeostatically maintained by the Cannabinoid System.

2. Mothers give their babies a booster shot of cannabinoids in mothers milk to give them the munchies because they have to learn to eat. (they've been fed thru the umbilical cord and did not have to know how to eat.)

3. Mice lacking the CB1 receptors don't like any changes. If they are moved to another part of the cage they act upset and when they are put back to the original spot in the cage they relax, but if then put into another part of the cage they get upset again. Comment: I wonder if people, especially drug warriors, had their CB1 receptors blocked then they would resist change and the ones of us that have unblocked CB1 receptors enjoy the benefits of cannabinoids are a lot more relaxed and not paranoid about or over change. Interesting thought. It turns out that that thought is absolutely correct. Many people' brains are not capable of a good connection to the CB1 CB2 receptors.

4. All new species utilize cannabinoids.

5. By being alive and breathing air our bodies produce "free radicals". Cannabinoids help to reverse this action.

6. Cannabinoids do kill brain cells, but the brain cells they kill are called "Glioma" or Cancer of the brain(Tumor). All other brain cells are protected and healed by cannabinoids. (Glioma cells cannot tolerate the action of cannabinoids)

7. Cannabinoids protect against sunburn and skin cancer because of the CB1 receptors in our skin.

8. Cannabinoids slow down the aging process. Mice whose brains respond to cannabinoids live longer and mice whose brains block the CB1 receptors die younger.

9. Activity in the evolutionary advanced areas of the brain is increased in cannabinoids receptors and promotes higher consciousness levels.

10. Cannabinoids are even found in the white blood cells (CB2 receptors). The CB2 receptors are found predominantly on immunological cells and regulate the shift in the immune system to the anti-inflammatory mode.

11. Cannabinoids protect the heart against Arythmia.

12. The way it works on pain is there are specific nerves that deal with pain. They are called vanilloid-Receptors. Anandamide (sanscript word for "Blissful Amide"), the bodies internally produced marijuana binds with the nerve endings, reducing pain. Anandamides are produced internally by our bodies in response to a whole variety of conditions. As an example, Aspirin prevents the breakdown of Anandamide, the internally produced marijuana to activate & start working at easing pain. Anecdotal evidence is valid because when a person smokes marijuana & it relieves their pain, then they smoke it again & it relieves their pain again it becomes a fact known only to that person, but nonetheless true.

13. In the case of most autoimmune diseases, the bodies immune cells produces free radicals & is destroying it's own body as a foreign object. Cannabis pushes the immune system into anti inflammatory mode & helps slow the progression of that disease, thereby slowing down the aging process.

14. Seizures are controlled by marijuana not only THC, but non-psychoactive cannabidiol.(CBD) The exact mechanism is not known, however HEMP is high in CBD's & can cancel out the psychoactive high of THC & at the same time benefits the user or smoker. Cannabinoids control everything in our bodies including our minds.

15. There are many other things that Cannabinoids do in the body, besides attaching to the CB1 and CB2 receptors, the main cannabinoid receptors in the higher part of our brain. Cannabinoids affect our skin and other parts of our bodies.

16. Pharmaceutical companies are working at synthesizing different cannabinoid components and different types of strains of marijuana. If they can succeed, then there will be more choices for you and I to choose from and we will be able to use what works best for our particular bodies.

17. The natural course for mankind, because of the location of our CB1& CB2, the brains main receptors, is to be more stoned.

18. Drug warriors are not doing what they are doing to us because they are intentionally evil, but because they are more primitive (obtuse comes to mind). They look at the world with fear and hostility not co-operativity and understanding.

19. According to a brain function study of 150 depressed people Cannabis protects the brain against healthy cell death and it also protects Neurons.

20. Cannabinoids dilate our bronchial tubes and help asthma sufferers to breath both in and out. Because of the balance that is maintained in our bodies for good health there are instances where it works backwards, where death is possible, if too much is smoked. This goes back to the effects of cannabinoids on individuals and if it doesn't work for you, you should not use it. There was some old studies that were done back in 1977 where "AEROSOLIZED THC" was used on patients. This is not what the government tells us when they say it's not medicine, but we are all familiar with the 7 government patients that are supplied marijuana to be used as medicine and we know the government is lying.

21. Natural pain eradication by cannabinol used by our receptors.

22. Cannabinoids control how we view the future. If you're loaded with bad experiences you're going to be fearful of the future. Lots of smoking of cannabinoids makes you want to be in the future. Lack of change vs embracing the future and changes. Conservative people might die prematurely, stressed, uptight and fearful (genocide). Open minded people and mice are able to change, whereas; people with defective receptors and knock-out mice (mice that have had their receptors removed) will keep going to the platform after it has been removed. They will be fearful of change.

23. Cannabinoids prevent and treat certain types of Cancer. Glioma (Brain Cancer) along with pheochromocytoma, skin cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, Lymphoma and Leukemia. Cannabinoids may prevent or cure cancer. Cannabinoids have a way of killing the bad cells and protecting the good ones.

24. Cannabis gives relief to Liver Disease & constant uncontrollable itching. Also, lack of sleep and depression and has been doing so for 600 million years.

25. THC in low doses relieves anxiety, while huge doses promote anxiety. (It's too strong like Marinol) Smoking marijuana relieves anxiety. Marijuana promotes sleeping better and normal persons when they are deprived of marijuana would have difficulty sleeping. (One other thing I'd like to add: When ingested, delta 9 THC, on the first pass thru the liver, changes into delta 11 THC. Five times as psychoactive and much longer lasting. I don't know how many people understand that. Ralph)

26. Cannabis protects nerve cells from dying thus protects against Alzheimer's Disease.

27. Our bodies make up marijuana like compounds to make us hungry. (gives us the munchies) Then turn off those compounds & we don't have the munchies anymore when it has had enough food. The cannabinoid system first appeared 600 million years ago. Food & feeding is at the heart of evolution & the development of new species.

28. Head injuries cause the body to produce Endo-cannabinoids to protect itself as well as protecting the body against Nerve Gas. Marijuana turns on the bodies Protective Mode, because when you're hungry the body makes Cannabinoids to turn on your hunger. Cannabinoids turn on the expression of a Particular Gene (at the same time it prevents the expression of other Genes). How the Marijuana Receptors change the Integral Bio-Chemistry. Some of the Molecules that are involved or been studied in a Model Organism. There is a worm that people study alot. They have very simple Nervous Systems so you can define what exactly is going on. It turns out this one Particular Molecule regulates what is known as a Transcription Factor (It turns on the Expression of Genes.) It turns out that when you turn on the Expression of this Particular Gene of the Worm Model it actually promotes Mimicking a condition that actually Promotes Longevity of these worms. This Parallels what we've seen in mice. Because Marijuana exhibits Free Radicals so people who've been using Cannabis, Long Term, tend to Live Longer & Look Younger. Marijuana Promotes your Health by affecting your Nerve Cells, by Balancing your Immune System, by Reducing Fat Deposition in your Cardio-Vascular System. It looks as if it helps Burn the Synthesis of things like Cholesterol.

29. New research shows that the argument over outlawing cannabis because it "Causes Cancer" is no longer valid. There are Nicotine Receptors in your throat. There are no Cannabinoid Receptors in your throat. Cells have a Bio-chemical Program known as "APOPTOSIS". This Bio-chemical Program is activated when cells too damaged to repair themselves commit suicide. There is a Bio-chemical Pathway that controls that. Nicotine activates a path that protects the cells from dying. Smoking anything puts Carcinogens into your Air Passage-ways and Cardio-Vascular system. Cells that get damaged by smoke die and that's what you want to happen. Cells to die before they become Cancer Cells.

30. Cannabinoids modulate pain peripherally. In our bodies there are special kinds of pain receptors, known as Vanaloid receptors & they are sensitive to things like heat & excessive pressure & they are responsible for pain. It turns out that a natural regulator of that that down-regulates pain. The endocannabinoid known as Anandamide, the blissful amide, when you combine Sanskrit for ananda & amide for the chemical type. It's clearly known that cannabis can regulate pain, that's been done in numerous studies, but recently , as we learn more about the molecular mechanisms of pain & cannabinoid action what we have now learned is that there is a lot of crosstalk between the cannabinoid system & the morphine, the opioid system. The name of an article that just came out is called Chronic morphine modulates the contents of the endocannabinoid tuorachidonalglycerol in the rat brain. So, tuorachidonalglycerol is another endocannabinoid. We feel pain thru the sensory nerves that are telling us that we're in a painful situation & on the other hand we feel it within our minds because certain areas of our brain subsequently get tickled. What we are seeing now is that the cannabinoid system works both peripherally & centrally & what we are gonna talk about here is this new work that links the cannabinoids more with the opioids in that opioids & cannabinoids are among the most widely consumed drugs of abuse in humans & phenomena of cross-tolerations or mutual potentiation demonstrated between these two drugs. Some of the recent work on pain has come out of England as a result of work done by G.W. Pharmaceuticals which is a company that specializes in producing cannabis plants. They've developed different strains that have different ratios of the cannabinoids & those different plants have different properties. In the past I've mentioned Bi-Polar disorder. Some people who are Bi-Polar & are depressive find Sativa's are good to help elevate them & if they're in an elevated mood & in a manic state they have to be brought down a little & the Indica's seem to be better for that & likewise they're different ratio's of these cannabinoids that are thought to benefit for example pain, more than others, that are thought to benefit auto-immune diseases. This is being worked out, but what I'd like to go into now is that some of the new links that seem to be occurring in this particular study that I just mentioned, what they are finding is that chronic administration of Opioids is in fact down-regulating the tuorachidonalglycerol which as mentioned, is one of the endo-cannabinoids. Interestingly the Anandamide level seem to be remaining the same, but this other one, tuorachidonalglycerol seems to be down-regulated. In knock-out mice, these are mice where a particular gene is missing, it turns out that you can eliminate alot of the withdrawal systems associated with opium if you have knocked out the receptors. When people go thru withdrawal, they get terribly nauseous & feel horribly sick, well, what we do know cannabinoids control nausea. That's why it's being used by people who are receiving Chemo-therapy or disorders where they are chronically nauseous. Cannabinoids can be very effective for that. So what we are seeing is that morphine turns down the Endogenous cannabinoid Arachidonic acid & that seems to be involved in some of the addictive behavior & this is kind of interesting because we know that cannabinoids themselves other than very twisted circumstances do not show addictive behavior. On the one hand we have the cannabinoid potentiating the morphine, in that people who need morphine for pain can often use 50% of what they normally use by including cannabinoids & on the other hand, we're seeing that the cannabinoid receptor system is involved in addiction & I mentioned a long time ago, that cannabinoids can be beneficial for some people in their attempt to withdraw & now we're seeing support for that in that chronic morphine administration is turning off one of the cannabinoids that's in turn, turning on some of the withdrawal systems.

31. Cannabinoids represent a general class of chemicals, not just cannabis & THC in plants, but rather also cannabinoids that are produced in our bodies. These happen to be Lipid compounds that result from burning & making fats. The thing that is so unique about this system represents how it works so broadly for various health reasons. That is that every single system in our bodies & by system I mean our nervous system or digestive system or reproductive system or immunological system or endocrine system, you name it & the cannabinoids are involved in maintaining what's known as homeostasis balance. We need to have the right amount of these components of this system which includes the compounds like THC which is better known as Lygan. They bind to specific receptors & then they are broken down by another enzyme that breaks down these things. So, we have a whole network of bio-chemistry that's influencing everything in our bodies. The question that arises is that the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts. The system, the cannabinoid system influencing everything in our bodies & the question is what are the nature of the wholes? What are the greater pictures that emerge out of this cannabinoid systems activity. So we see, for example, regulating reproductive system, digestive system, immune system & when they are all working together in a way that is concertedly modulated by the cannabinoid system what can we expect to see, & I would suggest that what's represented by the influences of cannabinoids & cannabis on our mind, in that it opens up our minds to new ways of thinking, it frees us from being stuck in a single track of thinking & that's exactly the kind of thought processes that are required as we move into the future which is generally composed of the unknown. What the cannabinoid system is doing is giving us a way to peacefully & lovingly adapt to change & be open to change. We see in these mice that we can knock-out the cannabinoid system that they are afraid of change. The implications of this are really profound if in fact we have people that are shifted one way or the other in terms of their ability to modulate & accept change that is of profound importance because we see people that are afraid to look forward, happily embracing the future. There are health ramifications for all of this. The cannabinoid system can help us with cardio-vascular disease where it reduces infarctsize with auto-immune diseases where it helps ameliorate & prevent the development of a whole variety of auto-immune diseases including things like arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, crones disease & it's also involved with, as a natural regulator of our pain. So we have this holistic medicine that's influencing so many things & I forgot to mention that it regulates our memories & mental pains & in fact, regulates alot of life/death decisions in our cells, nerve cells in particular, which is why it's so beneficial for neurological disorders often associated with the aging, such as Alzheimer's disease. What we're seeing is a holistic medicine & again it has to be used appropriately, too little is no good, & we may be making enough. Individuals may be making enough, but there could be many many people who are not making enough or their system is not active enough who will be able to benefit from the use of cannabis & other cannabinoids. To regulate all of the things we've mentioned that it regulates. So, we've got a holistic health program. To find the balance that's required for our optimum health is something that's totally built into the cannabinoid system. Therefore, it should be readily available to use wisely.

-------------------------

Modern physics, specifically non-equilibrium thermodynamics pioneered by Nobel Prize laureate Illya Prigogine, provides a scientific foundation for understanding living systems. The concept of dissipative structures is a key element in this view. There are two types of structures: equilibrium and flow dependent ones (dissipative structures). Equilibrium structures do not require energy flow or time to exist. In contrast, the opposite requirements are necessary for flow dependent ones. A sub-cellular metabolic structure, tissue, organism or society is a multidimensional, dynamically interacting aggregate of dissipative structures. The energy that flows into a structure must contain less entropy then that which flows out of it. The entropy of the universe increases.

The health of a flow dependent structure is dependent on how much information (negative entropy) resonates in the structure and how this quantity changes with time. Structures grow by moving further from equilibrium. When a structure reaches a critical point, as it moves towards equilibrium, the structure is abruptly lost. As a dissipative structure moves further from equilibrium, a critical point may be reached that leads to a discontinuity resulting in a a higher degree of organization, in a new structure. A healthy structure must maintain it's level of organization or it must grow. Dynamic steady states have boundaries determined by opposing forces and fluxes.

Far in the evolutionary past cannabinoid receptors appeared in mollusks. They were probably involved in feeding behavior. Their success lead to increased energy flow, and were thus integrated into the evolutionary future. Successful biological paradigms are typically reused. Subsequent evolutionary discontinuities reused the endogenous cannabinoid system. The endogenous cannabinoid system is composed of metabolic pathways that produced the lipid-derived endogenous cannabinoids, arachiadonic acid ethanolamine, 2-glycerol arachiadonic acid, and palmitylethanolamine; receptors that include the CB1, CB2, and vanilloid types,; and degradative pathways that include fatty acid hydrolases, cyclo-oxygenases, lipoxygenases and other catabolic components. On multiple levels, the endogenous cannabinoid system pulls back more aggressive pro-inflammatory pathways with their associated free radical production. Excess free radical production is thought to be the basis for numerous disease states including autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, cancer and aging. There are both anecdotal reports and a sound molecular basis for the use of cannabinoids to minimizes the negative affects of these disease states in terms of both disease progression and symptomatic relief.

The evolutionary process results in increasing levels of organizational flow with consciousness appearing to be the most advanced state. Clearly cannabinoids have a profound influence at this level. The dynamic balances of opposing forces maintains the average values associated with a flow dependent structure. Hardwired linkages versus disorder represents an example of such a balance with regard to basic to thinking patterns. Growth and learning are embodiments of evolutionary principles. Completely hard wired constructs can not grow or learn, but randomness lacks information. Learning builds on the past, but the interface with the future must have sufficient variability to mate with the future and extract sufficient negative entropy to maintain or build a structure. The THC receptors regulate this process as exemplified by the impaired short-term memory associated with cannabis use. Knockout mice that lack CB1 receptors are afraid of newness (as measured by stress resulting from positional change). Their balance moves towards being more hardwired. In contrast, creativity is intrinsically linked to embracing newness.

Cannabinoid controlled organizational levels extent from the feeding behavior of mollusks to man's intellect. A characteristic of flow dependent structures is feedback hence, feedback will occur not only within a structure, but between interacting ones. This characteristic suggests that the cannabinoid system of the mind communicates with cannabinoid based structures at lower organizational levels. Essentially, the endogenous cannabinoid system is a master homeostatic mechanism and in fact, provides for the mind body link.

Any population of cells, thoughts, organisms or species well represent a dynamically changing balance of these opposing tendencies as parts of the continuous process of creation.

The United States of America was founded and maintained by people who sacrificed their lives to establish the principles of “life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” as the foundation of our country. Today, as a consequence of Marijuana Prohibition, I and millions of other Americans live under laws that violate these enabling principles. I will show how Liberty is rooted in science whose expression is Life and Happiness. When laws have no foundation in scientific reality either by inception or consequence, it is the obligation of the Judicial system to rectify the unconstitutional dictates that these laws impose on the lives of free people.

Current scientific research supports the concept that the cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) modulate how a species adapts to change. By specifically regulating, in an integrated manner, basic neurological, hormonal and immunological parameters, the evolutionary selection of these receptors has provided a fundamental link between the mind and body. The scientific literature is rich with examples of the life and health promoting qualities associated with appropriate stimulation of cannabinoid receptors. To deny Americans the right to modulate these receptors is to deny them the right, on a basic biochemical level, to self-improvement and self determination in a manner harmonious with the creative forces that evolve the biosphere. The very meaning of freedom is denied.

My religious beliefs are fused with my knowledge and dictate that I live to the best of my ability within the physical, chemical, biological laws that have created me and all living creatures. To do otherwise would be contrary to the all pervasive creative force that permeates the universe. These laws dictate a continuing process of creative growth. Unfortunately, through a combination of ignorance, fear and immorality our lawmakers, using rationales that have no factual basis, have produced legislation that denies sick and aging people beneficial chemicals, has criminalized a significant portion of our youth and continues to squanders our social resources. Its is only through our collective evolution that necessary changes will occur.

How is it possible that a government of the people, by the people and for the people not only denies it's people natural compounds that: prevent cancer, relieve pain and stress, reduce the consequences of autoimmunity, and in general promote life, but even imprisons them for possessing and using them?

The Premise

"Are you unwilling to be anointed with the Oil of God? Wherefore we are called Christians on this account, because we are anointed with the oil of God." Theophilus of Antioch (181AD)

The relevant elements substantiating this presentation are to be found in an extensive body of references entwining archaeological & etymological finds pertaining to the Old & New Testaments of the Holy Bible; these have all been confirmed by accredited academic institutions and experts (in their respective fields) alike. The evidence demonstrates that (a) cannabis, as "herb bearing seed” and qâneh-bosm, is denotative of the “Tree of Life" in accordance to G-d's Divine Plan by the Grace of Christ/Chrism as reflected in the ministry of Jesus; that (b) cannabis, as a healing herb, is a conduit by which the complexities of the Mysteries of the Spirit1 unfold by way of the Grace of Christ, that is, via the Chrism (Anointing) of Jesus; therefore making (c) cannabis, essential the true Church of Jesus in accordance with Holy Scripture in order that (d) as G-d's creation the species can truly reflect the splendor G-d intended for humanity.

In order to demonstrate that cannabis is unique in G-d's Divine Plan cannabis must be shown to be of a capacity G-d would have deemed essential for all living species and specifically, for that of human consumption/utilization – and therefore, (as the Bible states; Genesis 1:31) worthy of being designated “very good”. Cannabis would also have to demonstrate itself to be multifaceted, that it is indeed unique and therefore worthy to be included in G-d's Divine Plan; cannabis meets that criteria and more!

As a herb bearing seed, true hemp (Cannabis Sativa) would have been recognised as a beneficial plant by Adam after the fall. Neo-lithic man would have naturally utilized everything at his disposal to affect survival; cannabis would have met those utilitarian needs on the most basic of levels. When seen in context of both the Old and the New Testaments the extent to which biblical references regarded those applications indicate a clearly startling revelation... “herb” was celebrated “for the service of man” that he may bring forth food out of the earth.

A plant as unique, that is, as multifaceted, as cannabis would have had a natural place in the markets of the day (Tyre etc.). Its' by-products would have found their way into homes and temples in proximity to those routes and centres. Free of the sophistry of stigma both the physical and psychoactive attributes would have placed on cannabis value in accordance with its' having been seen to meet market demands. “According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern” (Exodus 25:9) as a referential extrapolation to the covenant inclusion of herb bearing seed (of Gen. 1:11 & 1:29 et al, retrospective to the “Tree of Life” as defined in Scripture (Gen. 2:9, Rev. 22:14). Consider the following: Exo. 25:9, Exo. 25:40, 1 Chron. 28:11-21, Titus 2:7, Heb. 8:5, Heb. 9:23-28 as well!

Cannabis has the potential to clothe humanity in an ecologically sensitive and sustainable manner. Over 25,000 products can be made from cannabis in seed, oil or fibre form. The EFA content of cannabis oil makes it an ideal topical ingredient in both leave-on and rinse-off body care products such as lip balms, conditioners, shampoos, soaps, and shaving products. Cannabis oil has traditionally been used for industrial purposes such as lamp oil, paint and varnish, but today is finding major new markets. Cannabis can be used as bio-fuel and manufactured plastics. The “hardwood” fibre can be developed as ethanol with a 90% reduction in particulate emissions.

Cannabis fibre is renown for its resistance to rot and wear and tear as well as for its high tensile properties that make it durable and strong. The fibre is woven into rope, twine, netting, canvas and cloth. These qualities have been recognized through real life applications over thousands of years. The stalk of the plant offer two distinct types of fibre: the outer portion of the cannabis stem contains the “bast” fibres, the strong, long and slender fibres that provide the strength and quality attributed to cannabis. Bast cannabis fibre excels in durability and absorbency, has anti-mildew anti- microbial properties. It can be used for many applications, such as car panels and simulated cedar shakes. Composite panels have the advantage of being stronger, lighter and relatively less expensive than traditional structural panels.

The core fibre is derived from the sturdy, wood-like stalk of the cannabis plant. Similar to the bast fibre, the core fibre possesses anti-mildew anti- microbial properties. It is currently being used for animal bedding as it is twice as absorbent as wood. Cannabis produces twice the annual fibre of trees used for manufacturing paper on a sustainable basis.

THE LAST WORD ~ GLOBAL WARMING

Cannabis is capable of removing upwards of 3 tonnes of carbon dioxide per hectare – every year from the atmosphere. It has been estimated that cannabis has the potential to reduce CO2 levels to 1750 A.D. levels within 20 years! Mother Nature is the “technology by which humanity is able, according to G-d's Will, to act in concert and truly provide for the “Healing of the Nations.
